James J. Holden, Sr. Bucks County Courier Times James J. Holden, Sr. James J. Holden, Sr., of Bath, age 73, formerly of Philadelphia, died at home surrounded by his family, on Monday, December 17, 2007, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Doris) Holden. He was preceded in death by wife Joan Marie (nee Stroback) and daughter Kathleen Holschwander. He was the loving and much-loved father of James Jr. (MaryAnn), Kevin (Laura), Lisa (Steve), Brian, Jim, Linda (Ron), Thomas (Susanne), Richard (Theresa), Daniel (Kim), and Susan (Seb). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather of 25, great-grandfather of three, uncle, cousin and friend. Among a lifetime of accomplishments, he was a master tradesman, Naval Reservist for 12 years, Teamster, and a volunteer fireman with the Newport Volunteer Fire Co., Station 44, for seven years. Calling hours will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with service from 11:00 to 12:00 on Saturday, December 22, at George G. Bensing Funeral Home, 2165 Community Dr., Moorestown, Pa. 18014. Please no flowers. Interment private.



Joanne Holden, age 68, of North Cape May passed away suddenly on Saturday December 29, 2012 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa; formerly of Bath, PA; and resided in the Cape May area for 5 years. Joanne was a member of St. John Neumann Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was preceded in death by her husband James Holden, her brother Joseph, her sister Christine, and her daughter Kathleen. She is survived by five children: James (Lynn) Neiswender, Linda (Ronald) McGann, Richard (Terry) Neiswender, Daniel (Kim) Neiswender, and Susan (Sebastian) DeGregorio; a sister, Margaret Lafferty; a brother, John Vollrath; and her sisters-in-law Sally and Helen. She also leaves many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God Church, 680 Townbank Rd, N. Cape May, NJ 08204. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N. Cape May. The family will also receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church on Thursday.
